Tutorial on mason jar candle holders
Prepare sticks, jars and candles. Cut or break into pieces of uneven length to reach approximately two thirds of the glass we have selected. We prepare enough to cover the entire perimeter of the glass.
Prepare two pieces of wire about one and a half of the perimeter of the glass. At their ends, we make small eyes to avoid injury.
Connect the wires and keep about 3 cm long ends to join the work at the end.
By twisting, we connect the wires together, attach a stick to them and tighten and twist the wires, attach another stick, and tighten and twist the wires again … Proceed in the same way until we have enough sticks to cover the whole glass.
The wires we have left at the end will be twisted together with the wires we kept at the beginning of the work. So we connect both ends together. Cut off the excess wires and bend the sharp ends and put them behind the stick.
At the end, the whole candlestick will be tightly wound twice more. Bend the wire ends again and clean them. We must never forget to get rid of the sharp wires!
The lanterns from the glasses are ready, we put the prepared candles into them and the decoration is finished.
